The exhibition includes a selection of paintings by Spanish artists belonging to the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (MNBA) collection, revealing a network of female creators concerned about representing the identity and role of women in society during their time. Curated and managed through the collaboration of the MNBA (Chile) and Kugi Projects-Arttena (Spain), and funded by Chile’s National Service for Cultural Heritage, this exhibition is part of the Mujeres Creadoras (Female Creators) initiative of the Chilean Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage. Under the direction of the MNBA curator, Gloria Cortés, around 40 paintings, drawings and objects belonging to prestigious private collections, museums and institutions from ten countries in the region come to Chile.
