"Remain Silent or Lie" is the title of the exhibition project created expressly for MUSAC by the artist Darío Corbeira. The exhibition is a fragment of history between images of the revolution, of any revolution, and of what gradually began to settle after the Cold War; it is also a succession of detentions that engages with the exterior of politics, its ideologies, the most intimate side of vital manifestations and their encounters. Time (our time) and the notion of time, and its logics, shroud the accidental in these manifestations; and its relativity advances a dialectic rapprochement that brings us closer to the ideal territory of the twentieth century, questioning its finitude, its victories and its failures. In "Remain Silent or Lie", Darío Corbeira presents us with a sequence of his work that refers precisely to its discursive construction and its relations with what defines the subjectivity of a period, the present moment, signified by the dynamic of the politico-economic hegemonies of the twentieth century and by the remains of this contradiction.
